Anna Hall wins Heptathlon title at 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships

Anna Hall emerged as the victor in the women’s Heptathlon at the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships, scoring an solid total of 6677 points to defend her national crown. Taliyah Brooks secured second place, while Chari Hawkins finished in third on Day Two at Hayward Field in Oregon on Friday.

Brooks claimed second place with a score of 6319 points, with Chari Hawkins surprising the pack with a third-place finish, tallying 6053 points. Hawkins narrowly edged out Annie Kunz, who finished just four points behind in fourth place. Kunz is the Olympic sixth-placer in Tokyo.

Anna Hall opened the second day of competition with a strong performance in the long jump, recording a distance of 6.40 meters, which secured her second place in the event. Taliyah Brooks excelled in the event, winning the discipline with a leap of 6.52 meters, earning her valuable points.

In the Javelin Throw, Anna Hall achieved another second-place finish, throwing 43.90 meters.

Finally, the world leader showed her dominance in the final event of the competition by delivering an impressive performance in the 800m race, clocking a time of 2:10.91 to solidify her victory in the Heptathlon.

The World Athletics Championships 2023 qualifying standard of 6480 points.
