Daniel Roberts of USA in action in the sprint hurdles - Diamond League results

CHORZÓW, Poland (AP) — American champion Daniel Roberts and Cuba’s Roger Iribarne were the fastest qualifiers for the men’s 110m hurdles finals at the 2023 Silesia Wanda Diamond League in Poland at the Silesian Stadium on Sunday (16).

The first heat saw Iribarne leading the pack with a personal best time of 13.21 seconds to qualify with the fastest time from the two heats this morning. – Read more: How to watch the Silesia Wanda Diamond League meeting?

Just Kwaou-Mathey of France followed closely behind with a time of 13.27 seconds, and Trey Cunningham of the USA rounded out the top three qualifiers with a time of 13.31 seconds.

His American countrymen Eric Edwards, and Robert Dunning, plus Joshua Zeller of Great Britain, also advanced to the final with their 13.36, 13.38, and 13.40 seconds, respectively.

Meanwhile, in the second heat, Daniel Roberts of the USA came away as the heat winner with a time of 13.24 seconds. Tyler Mason of Jamaica booked his spot in the final with a time of 13.28 seconds for second, and Milan Trajkovic of Cyprus finished third with a season-best time of 13.34 seconds.

The fastest times heading into the final are held by Iribarne (13.21) and Roberts (13.24).

The men’s 110m hurdles world record of 12.80 seconds has been held by Aries Merritt of the USA since 2012, and at the moment, it remains unchallenged.

The current world leading time is 12.94 seconds, set by Rasheed Broadbell at the Jamaica Track and Field Championships last week.
