Day 1 AM Session: Pan American U20 Athletics Championships results
Competition on the first day will commence bright and early at 6:30 a.m. ET with the women’s 10,000 raceway final. Sharon Lisseth Herrera Soto of Costa Rica, who boasts a time of 45:19, is expected to be a strong contender for the gold medal. Mexico’s Renata Cortes Romero will also aim to make her mark on the podium.
Also, in the morning session, the men’s Hammer Throw final will be the opening event of the field schedule, beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET. Simultaneously, the women’s 100m preliminaries will also take place.

The morning session will also include preliminary races for the men’s 100m and the women’s 400m hurdles. The final of the women’s Hammer Throw is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
In the evening session, which starts at 5:00 p.m. ET, events such as the men’s Shot Put, the men’s 3000m Steeplechase, the women’s 1500m run, and the finals for both the women’s and men’s 100m will take place at the 2023 Pan American U20 Championships.
The Mixed 4x400m relay final will close out the action on the opening day at 8:10 p.m. ET.
