More than 2000 athletes, including world record holders, Olympic champions, and multiple global medalists from about 200 teams will compete in the Hungarian capital.

The competition begins with the men’s 20km race walk final in the morning session on Saturday 19 August, while the women’s 4x400m final brings competition to a close on Sunday 27 August.
