Complete Bill Dellinger Invitational team scores

No. 6 BYU women's cross country team defeated No. 7 Oregon on Friday at the 2023 Bill Dellinger Invitational. The complete team scores are below.

(Sept. 23) — In a head-to-head clash at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, the No. 6 BYU women’s cross country team emerged victorious over No. 7 Oregon on Friday afternoon in Springfield, Ore. The Cougars led the team score from start to finish, accumulating 42 points to Oregon’s 78.

Cal Poly secured third place with 122 points, followed by Oregon State with 148, and UC Riverside rounding out the top five with 164 points. Lexy Halladay-Lowry led BYU, finishing fourth with a time of 20:01.5 for the 6,000-meter race.

Aubrey Frentheway was close behind in fifth place, and Autumn Classic champion Jenna Hutchins was the third Cougar to finish, taking eighth place. Jacey Harkins-Farmer and Anastaysia Davis completed BYU’s scoring five, finishing 12th and 13th, respectively.

Meanwhile, Kaylee Mitchell of Oregon State dominated the 6k race with a time of 19:37.2. Brianna Weidler and Sierra Atkins of UC Davis also broke the 20-minute barrier, finishing second and third, respectively, in 19:55.1 and 19:55.8.

In additional highlights, three Cougars placed in the top 10, with seven in the top 15. Four Cougars set personal-best times for the 6,000-meter distance.

The race also marked the 6,000-meter course debut for several team members. This win marks the Cougars’ second victory at the Bill Dellinger Invitational since 2019.

On the men’s side, meanwhile, Cal Poly won the team title with 41 points, while Oregon took second with 58 points. Davis Bove of Cal Poly secured the men’s 8k individual title with a time of 23:40.1.

BYU will return to competition on October 14, heading to Virginia for the XC-23 Pre-Nationals Invitational.
