EUGENE, Ore. (Sept. 16) — The Prefontaine Classic 2023 schedule for Day 1 in Eugene, Oregon, as the first of the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final takes center stage on Saturday, 16 September. The world’s best track and field athletes are here at Hayward Field and promised to close out the campaign with some electrifying performances.
When does the Prefontaine Classic 2023 start?
Today’s schedule begins at 11:00 a.m. Pacific local time in Eugene / 2:00 p.m. ET with the women’s Javelin Throw, but the live coverage doesn’t get started until 12:00 p.m. Pacific / 3:00 p.m. ET.
When the action gets underway, the two-hour worldwide live broadcast is available on the Wanda Diamond League YouTube page. The 2023 Prefontaine Classic schedule on Day 1 live broadcasting coverage will start with the men’s 400m hurdles, and this field is blessed with talents, including World and Olympic champion, and world record holder Karsten Warholm, who will be aiming to rebound from a rare defeat in the event at the Diamond League meeting in Zurich last week.
British Virgin Islands’ world silver medalist Kyron McMaster, USA’s Olympic silver medallist Rai Benjamin and Brazil’s 2022 world champion Alison dos Santos are also in the field.
World champion and Faith Kipyegon is also in action on the first day, competing in the women’s 1500m, while Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen is aiming to become the first man to win three successive Bowerman Miles when he closes out the day’s schedule.

The 100m sprint events, world 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson is going up against Jamaica’s two-time world 200m champion Shericka Jackson and her compatriot, Elaine Thompson-Herah, the Olympic double-double 100m and 200m sprint champion.
USA’s world sprint double champion Noah Lyles will race in the men’s 100m today against a field that also features world silver medallist Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, 2019 world champion world Christian Coleman of USA, and Jamaicans Kishane Thompson, Ackeem Blake, and Yohan Blake.
