GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida Gators host the 2023 Mountain Dew Invitational cross country meeting on Friday, featuring 16 collegiate teams. The men’s and women’s squads aim to defend their 2021 first-place finishes, and you can follow the live results and updates today.

Having been in the wings for two weeks due to a delayed start, the Gators finally kick off their season on familiar turf at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville.

The race not only signals the return of the Mountain Dew Invitational after its 2022 pause but also serves as the first of three regular-season events for the Gators ahead of post-season battles.

What time does the 2023 Mountain Dew Invitational start?

The race day starts early at the Mark Bostick Golf Course, with the men’s 8k scheduled for 7:40 a.m. ET, followed by the women’s 3 mile race at 8:20 a.m. ET. This event serves as a curtain-raiser for the Gators, who are also hosting the NCAA South Regional on November 10 at the same venue.

Nine male and twelve female athletes will represent the Gators on Friday. The men’s team is seasoned, featuring ten athletes with collegiate-level experience over the past two years.

On the flip side, the women’s team introduces new talent. Sayla Donnelley, Allison Drummond, Kate Drummond, Annie Loehle, Breanna Stuart, and Haley Thornton are set to make their collegiate cross country debuts.

Allison Wilson, a transfer from the University of Alabama, will also mark her debut for the Gators.
