COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 9) – The Adams State University Cross Country season begins on Saturday at the 30th Annual Joe I. Vigil Meet at Cattails Golf Course in Alamosa, and you can follow live results and updates of each race today.

Today’s main program will see the Women 5k Run College/Open and Men 8k Run College/Open getting the schedule underway at 10:45 a.m. ET, while the first race of the morning will get going at 10:00 a.m. ET with the middle school girls’ 3k. You can follow live results and updates here

The Adams State University Cross Country will be aiming to continue building the ground for the championship part of the new season in a couple of months when the real accolades are handed out.

The Grizzlies, who are picked No. 1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) women’s preseason poll, will field both a women’s and men’s team for the first time this season on Saturday and the NCAA Division II program is aiming for a productive start to the campaign. 

The schedule of events for the 30th Running Joe I. Vigil Open Cross Country Meet is as follows:

  • 10:00 AM: MS Girls 3k Cut off 17:00
  • 10:20 AM: MS Boys 3k Cut off 17:00
  • 10:40 AM: National Anthem
  • 10:45 AM: University Open Men 8k Cut off 32:00
  • 11:20 AM: University Open Women 5k Cut off 25:00
  • 11:50 AM: HS Boys 5k Cut off 27:00
  • 12:25 AM: HS Girls 5k Cut off 32:00
  • 1:00 AM: JV Boys (only if necessary) Cut off 32:00
  • 1:40 AM: JV Girls (only if necessary) Cut off 37:00
