Oklahoma State Cowboy Preview Results

STILLWATER (01 September) – Arkansas men’s and women’s cross country teams made a strong start to their seasons on Friday, clinching victories at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Preview hosted at the cutting-edge Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.

The Arkansas women’s team dominated in the 3k race, accumulating a mere 16 points. They outpaced the host team, Oklahoma State, who managed 53 points, followed by SMU (68), Tulsa (105), Oklahoma (149), and Central Oklahoma (190).

On the men’s side, the Razorbacks tallied 26 points in the 5k team event, outstripping Tulsa’s 34 points, Oklahoma State’s 72, and Oklahoma’s 105.

The women’s race witnessed a quality early season performance by Sydney Thorvaldson, who led the pack with a time of 10:14. Arkansas stamped their authority by placing five of their runners among the top six, including securing the first four spots.

Following Thorvaldson were teammates Paityn Noe (10:14), Mary Ellen Eudaly (10:22), Laura Taborda (10:24), with Mia Cochran (10:25) finishing in the sixth position.

In the men’s 5k race, Ben Shearer set the pace, clocking in at 14:55, narrowly edging out fellow Razorback Reuben Reina, who finished a close second with a time of 15:03.
