The first 15 finals, 12 of which will feature newly-minted World Athletics Championships gold medalists – will be contested on Saturday, while the remaining finals are down for Sunday.

The action at the 2023 Prefontaine Classic starts on Saturday, 16 Sept., with the women’s Javelin and men’s Triple Jump and High Jump, while the first action on the track is the men’s 400m hurdles at 12:04 p.m. in Eugene.

This lineup is headed by world record holder and the world and Olympic champion Karsten Warholm, who will be facing off with USA’s Olympic silver medalist Rai Benjamin, world silver medalist Kyron McMaster of the British Virgin Islands, and Brazil’s 2022 world champion Alison dos Santos.

Also on the program on Day One is the much-anticipated women’s 100m clash between Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, world champion Sha’Carri Richardson, and two-time world 200m champion Shericka Jackson.

Action the second day on Day starts with the women’s High Jump, with the women’s and men’s 200m, the women’s 5000m and 800m races, as well as the sprint hurdles.
