SALEM, Va. — The stage is set for some exciting battles as Radford University hosts the 2023 Big South Conference Cross Country Championship at Green Hill Park today, Sunday, October 29. The event is the culmination of a bustling week of conference championships, setting the tone for the upcoming regional contests.

The Race Details

The men’s 8k kicks off at 10:30 a.m. ET, featuring athletes from all nine Big South member schools. The stakes are high: the first seven across the finish line will earn First-Team honors, while runners eight through 14 will secure Second-Team accolades. All top 14 finishers will also be awarded All-Conference medals.

The Competition

Charleston Southern enters the race as the three-time defending men’s champion, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the competition.

On the women’s side, High Point is eyeing a record seventh consecutive Big South title in their 5k race, which starts at 11:30 a.m. ET. The awards ceremony will occur at 12:30 p.m.
