Several top-ranked NAIA teams will be in action on Saturday at the 2023 Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic to be held at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Neb. Five of the top-8 women’s teams from the latest National Coaches’ Poll are down to battle this weekend. Leading the way is No. 1 Taylor (Ind.), and will have good company in No. 4 Saint Mary (Kan.), No. 6 Dordt (Iowa), No. 7 Southern Oregon and No. 8 Concordia (Neb.). No. 21 Tabor (Kan.) is the other top 25 ranked team in the mix.

Meanwhile, four top 15 men’s teams are on the schedule for this meet. No. 4 Saint Mary (Kan.), which continues to impress this season, takes on No. 6 Dordt (Iowa) and No. 8 Oklahoma City.

Another KCAC outfit, No. 22 Kansas Wesleyan, as well No. 23 Taylor (Ind.), and the host No. 25 Doane (Neb.), are also competing.

The Women’s 6k race opens the program at 10:00 a.m. CT / 11:00 a.m. ET, with the Men’s 8k contest following at 11:00 a.m. CT / 12:00 p.m. ET.
