Wappingers Falls, NY – The 2023 Nike Cross Regionals Northeast / New York cross country event, is set to take place on November 25th at Bowdoin Park, Wappingers Falls, NY.

This event, featuring some of the most talented young runners from states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, promises to be a showcase of emerging athletic talent and fierce competition.

Event Schedule and New Developments

The 2023 schedule has been adjusted to accommodate the high demand, particularly for the boys’ Northeast Open race, which has been split into two separate races – the Northeast Green and Northeast Blue.

These races will be seeded randomly and merged for awards purposes, adding an exciting twist to the competition.

The day begins at 9:00 AM with the Boys Open Race NY and concludes with the USATF Kids Race at 2:50 PM, ensuring a full day of top-tier cross country action. In the midst of that are the championship races.

At 12:25 p.m., the Boys NY Championship will go off, followed at 1:00 p.m. by the Girls NY Championship. The Boys NE Championship and the Girls NE Championship are set for 1:40 p.m. and 2:15 p.m., respectively.

Packet Pickup and Course Run Through

Participants can pick up their packets at the course in the amphitheater on November 24th, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM, and on the morning of the race. A course run-through is also scheduled for November 24th, allowing runners to familiarize themselves with the terrain.

Nike Retail and Directions

Nike retail sales will be available at the same times as packet pickup, offering a chance to purchase the latest gear. For those traveling to the event, detailed directions are provided to ensure a smooth journey to Bowdoin Park, whether coming from the north, south, east, or west.

Parking arrangements have been meticulously planned, with specific areas designated for large coach buses, small buses, school vans, and handicapped parking. Safety is a paramount concern, with no parking allowed on Sheafe Rd or other town roads. Admission to the park is $10 per vehicle, but cars carrying four athletes will be granted free entry.

NXR NE/NY Kids Race

In addition to the main event, the 2023 NXR NE/NY Kids Race, presented by USATF-NY, offers a platform for younger athletes to showcase their talents. More information and entry details can be found here.
