Three of the Fastest Men Ever to Set the Stage Ablaze on April 27th

The Shanghai/Suzhou Diamond League is about to witness an epic showdown between some of the most electrifying sprinters the world has ever seen. On April 27th, fans will be treated to a 100-meter race featuring Fred Kerley, Christian Coleman, and Yohan Blake – a trio boasting a combined total of six Diamond League titles and numerous world championship victories.

Kerley, the reigning World Champion at 100 meters, is no stranger to success in China. He dominated the 2022 season, claiming both the World Championship title and an Olympic silver medal.

He’ll be looking to build momentum for the upcoming Paris Olympics by replicating his 2019 Diamond League victory in the 400 meters, an event where he also holds a World Championship bronze.

“I am excited to come back to China in April,” he said. “2024 is a very important year with the Olympic Games taking place in Paris in August and it will be great to start my Diamond League season in China.”

Coleman, the current World Indoor 60-meter champion and co-holder of the sixth-fastest 100-meter time ever (9.76 seconds) alongside Kerley, will be aiming to repeat his impressive 2023 performance in China.

Last year, he delivered a season-best performance in front of a roaring Chinese crowd.

“I’m excited about coming to China to compete again. Last time I was there they showed a lot of love and support and I was able to pull out my best performance of the year in front of a great crowd,” said Coleman.

“I’m looking forward to opening my season with another great performance in China and starting my Olympic campaign off on a great note.”

Blake, a two-time Olympic and World Champion, needs no introduction.

The Jamaican star boasts the second-fastest 200-meter time in history and remains the youngest-ever World Champion at 100 meters, a title he secured in 2011.

With a personal best of 9.69 seconds, only the legendary Usain Bolt has ever clocked a faster time.

This highly anticipated race promises to be a true spectacle, with these legendary athletes vying for supremacy. The Shanghai/Suzhou Diamond League is shaping up to be an unmissable event, not just for sprint enthusiasts, but for all track and field fans.
