AUSTIN, Texas — Julien Alfred, Dina Asher-Smith, and Gabby Thomas will face off in a strong women’s 100m lineup at the 2024 Texas Invitational at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, on April 26-27.
The two-day meet will host a mix of collegiate and professional athletes, including representatives from Texas, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Houston, and Texas State among the universities listed.
Alfred, the two-time NCAA 100m champion during her illustrious career with the Longhorns, is coming off an impressive indoor campaign in which she won the World Indoor 60m championships and opened her outdoor season with a quality 22.58 seconds performance over 200m at Mt. Sac Relays.

Thomas leads the world with the fastest 200m time this season at 22.08, and the 27-year-old is coming off an impressive 50.37 at the LSU Alumni Gold last weekend.
Great Britain’s multiple global medal winner Dina Asher-Smith will also line up in this race. She will be making her season debut over the 100m in 2024 after running 22.80 secs for 200m the last time out at Mt. Sac Relays.
