Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah and world champion Sha’Carri Richardson headline a stacked women’s 100m field at Saturday’s Prefontaine Classic 2024 – a Wanda Diamond League meeting in Eugene, Oregon. Following results and updates here
The high-profile track and field event has attracted several of the world’s best athletes, giving fans a preview of preparations ahead of this summer’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Women’s 100m Showdown
One of the featured events is the women’s 100m, which will see Jamaican Elaine Thompson-Herah and American Sha’Carri Richardson make their season debuts in the event.

While Richardson has already raced two 200m events in the Diamond League this season, Thompson-Herah will be making her first competitive appearance of the year.
Ivory Coast’s Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith, who has already clocked 10.91 seconds in 2024, and world indoor champion Julien Alfred of St. Lucia are also in the stacked field.

The meeting will be streamed live on the Wanda Diamond League YouTube Channel in several territories, starting at 4:00 pm ET. However, the live stream will not be available in Australia, Bhutan, Cambodia, France, Iceland, Indonesia, Japan, Monaco, Myanmar (Burma), Romania, South Korea, and Sri Lanka.
