EUGENE, Oregon, (June 22) – World champion Sha’Carri Richardson, who clocked an impressive 10.88 seconds despite a stumble from the start, will headline the first of three semi-finals in the women’s 100m on Day 2 of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on Saturday.
Richardson, aiming to secure her spot on the U.S. Olympic team after a tumultuous journey since her disqualification from the Tokyo 2021 Games, will face stiff competition from Abby Steiner, Jenna Prandini, and Celera Barnes in her semi-final heat, but should have no trouble advancing to the title race.
