France’s Yann Schrub won the Corrida de Houilles 10km in twenty-seven minutes and twenty seconds on December 21. The 29-year-old ran alone for the entire race after breaking away from the field in the first kilometer, finishing in cool and rainy conditions near Paris.
Schrub’s winning time was also a lifetime best and moved him to eighth on the European all-time list for 10km. Sweden’s Andreas Almgren holds the European record of 26:53, set in Valencia in January 2025. The Frenchman improved his previous personal best from 27:37, set at the 2025 European Running Championships in Brussels-Leuven in April.
