Italy’s Nadia Battocletti will compete at the Campaccio Cross Country on January 25 after successfully defending her European Cross Country Championships title in Lagoa, Portugal. The 25-year-old will race at the World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold event in her home country.
“After the heat of Portugal, I need to mentally re-enter the generally much colder climate of Campaccio,” Battocletti told FIDAL and reported by European Athletics. “I can’t wait to be there again, and I hope everyone has a great day of sport that day.”
Training and Preparation
Battocletti plans to attend a warm training camp at sea level in January before the race. “I’ll do everything I can to win for a second time,” she said. “I want to enjoy another great day like I did on Sunday (14) in the Italian national team.”
