Wilson holds the high school national record in the 400 meters and recently committed to the University of Maryland for next fall. His appearance at this meet marks his first indoor competition of the season, and the 17-year-old will be hoping to deliver something promising as he gets ready for the winter break.
The 500 meters is expected to serve as Wilson’s primary event, where he owns a personal best and a world under-18 best time of 1:01.27. His entry also includes the 55-meter dash, suggesting a focus on some speed development as well during this early stage of the indoor campaign.
The broadcast will primarily feature oval track events, while sprint races taking place on the infield during these competitions will be recorded for later viewing. All archived footage will be posted following the meet.
