FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Britton Wilson will begin her 2026 indoor season Friday at the Arkansas Invitational, marking her return to indoor competition after sitting out the entire 2025 indoor campaign.
Wilson is scheduled to compete at Randal Tyson Track Center, where Shamier Little holds both the facility record and meet record of 1:24.65 in the 600 meters from January 2023. The meet will feature live results available through FlashResults.
Wilson last competed indoors in January 2023, when she clocked 1:25.16 in the 600 meters at Fayetteville. She also set the American record over 400m with her 49.48 seconds PB during the same season in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Wilson made her 2025 season debut on June 14 after bypassing the entire indoor season, opening with a 51.37-second 400-meter performance in Winter Garden, Florida. She improved to 50.54 at Memphis on July 12 before running 50.25 in the heats at the U.S. Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on August 1.
Wilson, who earned a gold medal as part of the United States 4×400-meter relay team at the 2022 World Championships, finished sixth in the 400-meter final at U.S. Championships with a time of 50.88. She placed fifth at the Gyulai Memorial in Budapest with 51.04 and seventh at Athletissima Lausanne with 51.69.
Wilson also finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2022 World Championships and won the NCAA 400-meter hurdles championship in 2022.
The meet will feature athletes from several schools, including the host Arkansas, Tennessee, Iowa, Oral Roberts, Texas State, North Texas, Louisiana Tech, and UT Arlington.
The 2026 Arkansas Invitational begins on Friday with the men’s Shot Put at 12:00 p.m. local time. The first track event is the women’s 60m hurdles prelims at 12:30.
