NEW YORK (Jan 23) – NCAA champions Katelyn Tuohy, Michaela Rose, and Fouad Messaoudi, along with Olympians Ajee’ Wilson, Cooper Lutkenhaus, and Nia Akins, headline the lineup at the Dr. Sander Scorcher indoor track meet at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York this weekend.

Tuohy, a four-time NCAA champion and former North Carolina State standout, highlights the women’s one-mile pro-elite race on Saturday. She will open her season with a personal best of 4:24.26 set at the same meet in 2023. Tuohy captured NCAA indoor titles at 3000m and 5000m last year after securing the cross country crown in the fall.

The 15-woman mile field also features 2023 NCAA 800m champion Michaela Rose, who has clocked 4:38.64 indoors, along with Teagan Schein-Becker, Sadie Sargent and France’s Berenice Cleyet-Merle, the 2023 European Championships mixed relay gold medalist.
In the men’s one-mile pro-elite race, Morocco’s Messaoudi, the 2023 NCAA Indoor 3000m champion, leads a field including Empire Elite club members Ben Allen, Eric Holt, and Hazem Miawad, and French runners Luc Le Baron and Flavien Szot.
World Indoor champion Ajee’ Wilson headlines a deep women’s 800m roster that also includes Olympian Allie Wilson, 2023 U.S. Championships finalist Nia Akins, Meghan Hunter, Olivia Baker, and Harvard’s Sophia Gorriaran.
The men’s 800m race features 17-year-old Cooper Lutkenhaus facing off against senior competitors, including Egypt’s Miawad and Shane Cohen.
