CLEMSON, South Carolina (Feb 15) — Talented Georgia redshirt freshman sprinter Adaejah Hodge continued her commanding indoor season with another standout performance, resetting the women’s 200 metres world lead in a personal best 22.51 seconds to win the event at the Tiger Paw Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 14).
The British Virgin Islands athlete, 19, bettered her own previous world-leading mark of 22.53, set two weeks earlier in her Razorback Invitational debut in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The fast time also moved Hodge to No. 22 on the collegiate all-time indoor list and second in Georgia program history.
Building on Friday’s momentum, Hodge, the 2024 World U20 champion, also clocked a personal best 7.13 seconds in the 60m, elevating her to No. 3 on Georgia’s all-time list and second in the NCAA standings this season.
