Carifta Games 2026 Day 3 Results & medal winners: Jamaica dominates final day as records fall

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, April 6 — Jamaica closed out the 3rd Carifta Games 2026 in commanding style on Monday, sweeping the sprint hurdles and capturing three of four relays at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium as several records fell on the final day of competition.

Sprint star Shanoya Douglas of Jamaica) completed her U20 sprint double with a new Carifta Games record in the 200 meters, clocking 22.11 seconds (+1.9m/s). Meanwhile, Tyra Fenton (Antigua and Barbuda) added another medal to her tally after winning the U17 girls’ 200 meters in 23.39 seconds (-2.5m/s). She also won the U17 girls’ 100m and captured a medal in the 400m race.

Able Mills (Jamaica) also joined the double gold club after triumphing again in the U20 girls’ discus throw, while Mark-Daniel Allen (Jamaica) broke the U17 110m hurdles record in 13.25 seconds (+1.6m/s).

The host nation, Grenada, picked up medals through Annalisa Brown in the U17 800m and Nicholas Frederick in the U20 800m, bringing local supporters to their feet in appreciation. Barbados closed out the event with a record-breaking performance in the U20 boys’ 4x400m, preventing Jamaica from sweeping the event.
