American sprinters Carmelita Jeter and Walter Dix will both race at the annual Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational, which takes place from Apr. 12-14 in Drake Stadium.

Jeter, the world 100m champion from last summer, has been in fine form in the last few seasons and will be using the meet as one of her preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games in London, later on this year.

Meanwhile, Dix, the reigning Olympic bronze medallist over 100-metres will also be on show and he too will be using the event to prepare for the Games.

Both Jeter and Dix will start as strong favourites to book a spot on the American team to London when the U.S. Trials get going this summer, but will certainly need to be at their best.

Also expected to complete at the Johnson/JJK Invitational are Joanna Hayes, Michelle Perry, Nicole Leach and Jamie Nieto.
