Femke Bol, the Dutch hurdles phenomenon, will make her long-awaited return to Monaco this summer as a headline attraction at the tenth leg of the 2025 Wanda Diamond League – Herculis EBS Meeting 2025. The 25-year-old Olympic bronze medalist hasn’t competed at Stade Louis II since finishing third in the 400m flat in 2020, before her meteoric rise to global stardom.

“Monaco is one of the meetings I haven’t won yet; I would love to change that this year,” said Bol, who has her sights set on a fifth consecutive Diamond League series title.
“I’ve trained well this year and I’m really looking forward to racing there—it’s always an incredible meeting.”

Since her last Monaco appearance, Bol has built an impressive collection of medals and records. Her achievements include world championship gold in Budapest 2023, back-to-back Olympic bronze medals in the 400m hurdles (Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024), and an astonishing 25 Diamond League victories.
The Dutch star currently ranks as the second-fastest woman ever in the 400m hurdles with her 50.95 personal best from La Chaux-de-Fonds on July 14, 2024.
Femke Bol 2024 Impressive Season
Bol’s 2024 season was particularly noteworthy, featuring five sub-52 second performances in the 400m hurdles, including her season-best 51.30 in London on July 20. Her indoor prowess is equally impressive, as she holds the world indoor record in the 400m with a blistering 49.17 set in Glasgow on March 2, 2024.
The Dutch star’s versatility extends beyond her specialty event, with personal bests of 22.64 in the indoor 200m and 49.44 in the outdoor 400m. Her championship pedigree includes two world titles (400m hurdles and 4x400m relay in 2023), two world indoor championships (400m and 4x400m in 2024), and five European gold medals.

Bol joins pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis as the second global superstar confirmed for the prestigious Herculis EBS Meeting 2025. Duplantis, who thrilled fans worldwide by breaking the world record three times in 2024 and claiming Olympic gold in Paris, will target the meeting record of 6.02m set by Piotr Lisek in 2019.
The Wanda Diamond League features 15 elite track and field events where athletes battle for points across 14 meetings to qualify for the two-day final, scheduled for August 27-28 in Zurich.
