KINGSTON, Jamaica (Sporting Alert) — Olympic champions Usain Bolt and Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce lead the Jamaican contingent for the IAAF World Championships , which runs from 10-18 August in Moscow, Russia.

Bolt and Fraser-Pryce, who won gold medals at the London Olympic Games last summer, head the 45-member squad, which will be without several big names, including former World 100m record holder Asafa Powell and 2004 and 2008 Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown, who both failed drug tests earlier this year.

Missing too is reigning world 100m champion Yohan Blake, who is out injured.

Also in the team to Moscow is national record holder over 110m hurdles, Hansle Parchment, who was forced to miss his race at the trials after suffering an injury during his warm up for the final.

The improving Stephenie-Ann McPherson, Olympic 200m bronze medallist Warren Weir, young half-miler Natoya Goule and on form Nesta Carter are also part of the team.
