Her performance placed four of her throws within the all-time collegiate indoor top eight — ranked No. 1, No. 2, tied No. 3, No. 6, and No. 7, further confirming her consistency and command of the event in her collegiate career thus far.
Previously, the collegiate record was held by Jorinde van Klinken of the Netherlands, who threw 19.57m while representing Oregon on February 10, 2023.
Johansson, already an NCAA indoor champion and the reigning World University Games gold medalist in the shot put, now holds the top spot in collegiate indoor history.

In other field events, Dyson Wicker cleared 5.62m (18-5¼) to set a school record and win the men’s pole vault, while Cade Moran captured the men’s shot put title with 20.07m (65-10¼), moving to fifth on Nebraska’s all-time list.
Elsewhere, Ela Velepec set a new personal record of 1.83 meters (6-0) to secure the women’s high jump title with teammate Karsyn Leeing also clearing the same height to finish in second place.
