TORUN, Poland – Organizers confirmed that world champion Ditaji Kambundji will compete against world indoor champion Devynne Charlton in the 60m hurdles at the ORLEN Copernicus Cup on February 22.
The meeting serves as the final World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold event of the season and takes place at the Kujawsko-Pomorska Arena in Torun.
Kambundji, who won 100m hurdles gold at the World Championships in Tokyo with a Swiss national record of 12.24, finished second to Charlton at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing. Charlton defended her 60m hurdles title at that competition.

The Bahamian holds the world record at 7.65, while Kambundji sits joint second on the world all-time list with her European record of 7.67.
Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, the 2024 world indoor bronze medallist, will join the field in front of her home crowd.
The venue will host the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 one month later, from March 20-22.
Additional entries include Italy’s Zaynab Dosso, a two-time world indoor medalist, Luxembourg’s world indoor bronze medallist Patrizia Van der Weken, and Poland’s Ewa Swoboda, the 2024 world indoor silver medallist, in the women’s 60m.
Dosso and Van der Weken will compete earlier at the Czech Indoor Gala in Ostrava on February 3, another World Indoor Tour Gold meeting. That event includes Skrzyszowska and the 2018 world indoor medallist Nadine Visser in the 60m hurdles.
The men’s shot put features two-time world champion Joe Kovacs of the United States alongside Italy’s Leonardo Fabbri and Jamaica’s Rajindra Campbell, both global medallists.
Italy’s Mattia Furlani will defend his long jump title in Ostrava against Greece’s Miltiadis Tentoglou, a former winner at the meeting. Furlani claimed world titles indoors and outdoors last year, while Tentoglou won Olympic gold the previous year.
