Samuele Ceccarelli pulled off a major upset at the Italian Indoor Championships on Sunday, winning the men's 60m title and beating Olympic champion Lamont Jacobs in the process. Ceccarelli ran a personal best time of 6.54 seconds, improving on his previous best of 6.58, while Jacobs finished second with a time of 6.55 seconds.

Jacobs, the world and European indoor champion, had entered the final with the fastest time after setting a season best of 6.56 seconds in his heat.

However, it was Ceccarelli who came out on top, taking home his first national senior title. The 23-year-old got away from the Jacobs early in the race and the Olympic champion wasn't able to catch him as the line came too soon!
