Where To watch 2024 Grandma’s Marathon Live
- Television and Radio: WDIO-TV and Northland FAN 106.5 FM are the official broadcasters and will provide live race-day coverage from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. This coverage will include commentary from notable figures such as Dick Beardsley, Kara Goucher, Carrie Tollefson, and Doug Kurtis
- Online Streaming: You can watch the live stream of Grandma’s Marathon on WDIO’s website. They will provide live coverage, including weather updates and race results
- Mobile App: The Grandma’s Marathon mobile app, powered by ASICS, offers live tracking of runners. This feature allows you to follow your favorite participants in real-time on race day
- In-Person Viewing: If you’re in Duluth, there are several recommended spectator locations:
- North Shore Scenic Railroad: Offers a unique experience where you can watch from a train that follows the racecourse for the first few miles.

This is 48th running of Grandma’s Marathon and is presented by Asics. Elisha Barno and Lauren Hagans were crowned men’s and women’s respective champions at the 2023 Grandma’s Marathon.
The race starts early, with the wheelchair and adaptive divisions beginning at 7:35 a.m., followed by the elite and sub-elite runners, and then the citizen runners. Locals are encouraged to come out in support of the yearly event and those planning to attend are advised to prepare for the possibilities of rain.
Grandma’s Marathon has established itself as a world-class event with small-town charm, attracting runners from all over and significantly contributing to the local economy and running community.
