LONDON (April 27) – The 2025 London Marathon 2025 results from the elite women’s and men’s races. A dominate performance on the female side saw Tigst Assefa of Ethiopia smashing the women-only marathon record with a brilliant 2:15:50 after pulling away from her rivals.
The 2024 runner-up improved her placing this year and won her first London Marathon title, comfortably defeating Kenya’s Joyciline Jepkosgei, who finished second with a time of 2:18:44. Olympic champion Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands came in third with a time of 2:18:59.

Meanwhile, the men’s race went to Sabastian Sawe of Kenya after he produced the second-fastest ever London Marathon time with 2:02:27.

He was followed home by Uganda’s world half marathon record-holder Jacob Kiplimo who was second on his marathon debut with a time of 2:03:37, while Alexander Mutiso Munyao – Kenya – 2:04:20
Alexander Mutiso Munyao just finished ahead of Dutchman Abdi Nageeye after both were locked in a spirited sprint in the final meters of the race. Both runners were credited with 2:04:20.
Kenyan Marathon legendary Eliud Kipchoge finished in sixth place in 2:05:25.
