The 2023 Pan American U20 Championships winners on the third and final day of competition on Sunday, 6 August. Among the highlighted performers on the final day were Shawnti Jackson, Sophia Gorriarian, Renan de Lima Gallina, and the United States 4x400m relay teams.
Jackson clocked an impressive time of 22.35 seconds (+1.6 m/s) to set a new championship record and personal best in the Women’s 200m dash on her way to winning the gold medal. Her American compatriot Sophia Gorriarian ran 2:04.68 to win the women’s 800m race, while the United States women won six of the nine gold medals on offer in their category.

On the men’s side, the USA had five of the six final-day 2023 Pan American U20 Championships winners in Puerto Rico. Renan de Lima Gallina of Brazil, who secured the 200m title with a time of 20.44 seconds, was the only non-American man to win on Day 3 on Sunday.
