Olympic champions Noah Lyles, Julien Alfred, and Grant Holloway are set to headline the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting, taking place in Boston on 2 February 2025.
Noah Lyles will return to defend his title after achieving his third consecutive victory in Boston last year, clocking a personal best of 6.44 seconds in the men’s 60m. Lyles further improved his performance, reducing his personal best to 6.43 seconds, and secured a silver medal in the 60m at the World Indoor Championships. His outdoor season peaked with a remarkable 9.79-second win in the 100m at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Two-time world indoor champion Grant Holloway is also aiming for a fourth consecutive victory in Boston. The reigning world and Olympic champion in the 110m hurdles holds eight of the nine fastest times ever recorded in the 60m hurdles, highlighted by his world indoor record of 7.27 seconds established earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Caribbean sprint star and former Texas Longhorns sprinter, Julien Alfred, the Olympic 100m champion, will make her debut at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. Prior to winning the Olympic title in Paris, the sprinter from St Lucia claimed gold in the 60m at the World Indoor Championships held in Glasgow earlier this year.
In addition to these stars, Britain’s 2022 world champion Jake Wightman will lead the men’s 1500m field, while former Florida six-time NCAA champion Parker Valby is set to make her professional racing debut in the women’s 3000m.
