LIVE COVERAGE: THE BIG HALF MARATHON TAKES OVER LONDON STREETS

London, (03 September) – More than 15,000 people are set to grace the streets of London for the highly anticipated half marathon event, The Big Half, on Sunday (3). Leading the list of high-profile athletes who will compete at the event is the legendary Sir Mo Farah, who will be making his final appearance as a runner in London.

The Big Half, which is entering its sixth edition – is the country’s most exciting and ambitious half marathon, and on Sunday will be broadcasting live on BBC iPlayer and The Big Half YouTube Channel with the coverage starting at 8:25 in London / 3:25 a.m. ET for the fans in the United States. Besides Mo Farah, other notable competing athletes at The Big Half include David Weir and Samantha Harrison.

Meanwhile, the race will also see Lady Tania Farah, Sir Mo’s esteemed wife, and their three children officially kicking-starting the event.

NOTE: For the first time since 2020, British Athletics has chosen The Big Half as the British trails for the World Athletics Road Running Championships – Half Marathon.

Remember, if you are unable to witness the action in person, there is no need to fret there is lots of options available for you to follow the action.

The race course, spanning from Tower Bridge to the iconic Cutty Sark in Greenwich, promises a visually stunning backdrop for the participants. As they navigate through the bustling streets of London, the runners will undoubtedly draw inspiration from the city’s rich history and vibrant atmosphere.
