Great Britain’s Olympic 400 metres champion Christine Ohuruogu is adamant she will be in the best shape of her summer campaign at the Great North CityGames on September 19.

Ohuruogu, whose ambition of defending her World Championships title last month was wrecked by a hamstring injury which restricted her preparations, finally believes she is coming into more consistent form.

"The crowd were great there and hopefully they will be even better in Newcastle," she said.

"I feel that I am racing better as the season goes on."

She placed fifth in the 400m in Berlin despite being limited to just three training sessions in the three weeks before the championships began….Read More
