The USA won the men's 4x100m relay final results, clocking a world-leading 37.38 to beat Olympic champion Italy and world record holder Jamaica in a close race.

BUDAPEST, Hungary (August 26) – The complete men’s 4x100m relay final results, and recap as USA’s Noah Lyles completed a superb sprint treble at the 2023 World Athletics Championships after anchoring his team to victory to claim a third gold medal at Budapest23 on Saturday.

Brought into the team to compete in the final, Lyles, who earlier this week won the 100m and 200m double, powered Team USA home to victory here today –teaming up with Christian Coleman, Fred Kerley, Brandon Carnes to clock a world-leading time of 37.38.

Olympic champion Italy, with Lamont Marcell Jacobs on the second leg, collected a very impressive silver medal in 37.62 seconds, while a very young Jamaican team held off Great Britain to secure the bronze medal in 37.76 to the British 37.80.

Before the triumph today, the USA had won just one gold medal in the men’s 4x100m relay from the last seven World Championships, following a series of fumbles and disqualifications, either in the heats or in the final.
