Continental Tour Gold meeting to feature Olympic champions and emerging talent on June 24, 2025.
The Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 will feature world champions Femke Bol and Jakob Ingebrigtsen alongside teenage sensation Gout Gout in a star-studded Continental Tour stop.
Next month, the Czech Republic will host the Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 meeting, attracting an exciting blend of world champions and emerging talents in track and field on June 24.
Femke Bol To Race Over 400m
The Continental Tour Gold meeting will feature Femke Bol, the world 400m hurdles gold medalist from the Netherlands. However, in Ostrava, she will compete in the flat 400m instead of her usual event.

The Dutch athlete, who established a remarkable world indoor 400m short track record of 49.17 last season, comes into this race with an outdoor personal best of 49.44. Notably, the meeting record has stood firm since 1983, adding intrigue to her performance.
Sharing the track with Bol will be her training partner, Lurdes Gloria Manuel. The world U20 champion has special ties to the event, having been born in Ostrava. Manuel impressed at last year’s Golden Spike by setting a Czech U20 record of 50.59 before improving to 50.52 at the European Championships.
Making his European professional debut, 17-year-old Australian sprinter sensation Gout Gout will test himself in the 200m.
The teenage sensation broke headlines in December when he clocked 20.04 seconds, breaking the long-standing Oceanian record while surpassing Usain Bolt’s world age-16 best mark.
Gout more recently claimed the Australian title with a wind-assisted 19.84 (2.2m/s) in Perth.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen To Race In The 1500m
Norwegian distance running phenom Jakob Ingebrigtsen returns to Ostrava for the first time in four years. His last appearance in 2020 resulted in a 1500m victory with a time of 3:33.92.

Since then, Ingebrigtsen has collected multiple world records along with two Olympic gold medals and a pair of World Championships titles. Meet organizers have yet to confirm which distance the Norwegian star will tackle.

The international stars will be joined by hometown favorites, with Czech athletes looking to shine on home soil. The local contingent includes sprinters Karolina Manasova, Lada Vondrova, Tereza Petrzilkova and Milan Scibrani, alongside hurdler Nikoleta Jichova, high jumper Jan Stefela, and shot putter Tomas Stanek.
Bolt’s meeting record of 19.83 seconds in the 200m, established in 2008, could face a challenge from the young Australian if Gout’s recent form continues. Meanwhile, the women’s 400m meeting record of 49.67 has withstood challenges for four decades, presenting a target for both Bol and Manuel.
The 64th Golden Spike Ostrava, a highlight of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold, stands out as a premier track and field event on the calendar. Athletes consistently participate in this meeting to gain momentum as they head toward the global championships.
