Has the time for another major championships draw closer, the career of one of the world’s most talented sprinters, Asafa Powell, who finds it difficult to produces after rounds, hits the spotlights once again.

I am a fan of Asafa Powell. For me, his performances so far this season can be described as an emotional rollercoaster ride. Just when you think that he’s is ready to take the prize, he disappoints. To be fair to Asafa, he sustained an injury early in this year and has been rehabbing his ankle all season.

Powell is one of the most prolific sprinters ever. He has more than 51 sub-10 secs. in the 100m and he has set the world record twice prior to the emergence of Usain Bolt. He has set stadium records across Europe and the rest of the world, but has failed to garner an individual gold medal at the World Championships and the Olympics….Read More
