Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown and Dayron Robles of Cuba were named 2010 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) female and male Athletes of the Year.
Campbell-Brown, who added to the list of major championships accolades this past March when she clocked a personal best to win the 60 metres dash at World Indoors in Doha, Qatar, was named the CAC female AOY.
She also ran undefeated in the 200m this year.
Reigning Olympic 110m Hurdles champion and world record holder in that discipline, Robles was won the men award. He was out injured for most of the season.
Kirani James of Grenada was also among the award winners as he coped the junior men award.
