The following is the order of event schedule on Day 1 at the 2023 Nike Outdoor Nationals, to be held at the iconic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. The first day of competition on Thursday with begin with a mixture field and track events, starting at 12:00 p.m. ET or 3:00 p.m. ET.

The Decathlon for boys, as well as the girls’ middle school Shot Put and and the boys’ emerging elite Discus Throw competitions will open the schedule on the first day, while the freshman 100m dashes for boys and girls will get the track events going at 12:12 p.m. local time / 3:12 p.m. ET and 12:39 local time / 3:39 p.m. ET.
