You can watch the second day of the 2023 Italian Indoor Championships at the Palaindoor Ancona on Sunday (19), live on YouTube as a number of top athletes, including Olympic 100m champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs, who will race in the men’s 60m dash.
Jacobs, the reigning World and European indoor champion, will aim to defend his national title this weekend and the 28-year-old will certainly start as the favorite to repeat. He enters this weekend’s championship with a season-best time of 6.57 secs when finishing second in Liévin, but I am expecting a big performance on Sunday.
Jacobs, who owns a personal best of 6.41 secs in the short sprint, will start in the third heat of the men’s 60m dash on Sunday and he’s expected to progress to the final later in the day. Read more: Aleia Hobbs stormed to 6.94secs, wins 60m at US Indoor Championships 2023
Others to watch for in the men’s 60m are Samuele Ceccarelli, Luca Lai, and Junior Tardioli who will all try to secure places in the final first before thinking about challenging the defending champion.
There are several other national indoor championships taking place this weekend, including the British Indoor Championships – Watch Live Here, as well as the German Indoor Championships – Watch Live Here
